Good positive results.
The Zurrieq Ladies team managed to get their first ever win in the league after beating Tarxien Rainbows 4-1. Goals from Sarah Cassar, Katleen Hamilton and 2 from Ingrid Vassallo secured the 3 points for the girls.
Even the Ladies Under16 got their first win of the season after beating Pieta 3-0. Homegrown player Rodianne Zerafa got the third goal in the game.
The Under 15 squad kept on their winning streak after beating Ghaxaq 10-0. This was the third win from three matches and without conceding a goal.
Finally the Under 17 team lost 4-0 to Dingli.
Well done goes to all the players and coaches. Let’s keep training hard to get the results.
Zurrieq Ladies draw in derby match
In a match that could have been won by the Ladies, Zurrieq manged to draw 1-1 against Kirkop. It was a very entertaining match with a good number of spectators. Zurrieq started well but suffered a goal on the 30th minute and the half ended 1-0 to Kirkop.
In the second half Zurrieq pressed more for the goal and after hitting the post by Marie Claire Aquilina, Zurrieq managed to equalize with a good finish by Ingrid Vassallo.

31st October Lottery
The winner of our Lottery was ticket numer 103 white which won a 200Euro voucher from Eurosport. We would like to thank all those people that helped us in the lottery and those that took part. Thats goes to our sponsor Eurosport.
Under 16 and Ladies Team draw.
Zurrieq Under 16 managed to draw again there second match of the season with a 1-1 draw vs Melita.
The Ladies senior team got there first point of the season after they managed to draw 0-0 against Melita in a match which the girls could have won.
Well done goes for our two teams that had a good start of the season.
Positive first game from the Ladies Under 16
Zurrieq Ladies Under 16 managed to draw in their debut game against Kirkop. Kirkop managed to take the lead in the start of the match, but Zurrieq didn't look back and got the equalizer from Rodianne Zerafa. Zurrieq didn't stop and Nicole Borg gave Zurrieq a 2-1 lead.
The first half finished 2-1, but Zurrieq weren't finished yet and scored another goal in the beginning of the second half by Nicole Borg. But Kirkop got back the two goal disadvantage. Zurrieq were unlucky not to get the victory after a good shot from Sarah Cassar hit the crossbar.
Well done girls lets keep training hard.

Another great football tournament
Zurrieq Youth Nursery organised there yearly tournament with great success for another time. 10 teams took part in this tournament with nice interesting games. Lee and Zurrieq Futsal managed to pass from Group A and Friends Team and Iven managed to pass in Group B.
Eventually the two teams that passed from Group B were the finalists. Friends Team were too strong and managed to beat Iven 6-1 in the Final

Under 17 second win of the season.
Our Under 17 season continued on a good note after they managed to beat Gudja with a 2-0 result. It wasn't a very convincing performance from our boys but good determination brought the result in favour of the squad.

In a very balanced match Zurrieq managed to beat Dingli with a goal 10 minutes from time. It was a hard match being the first one of the season but with great spirit the boys got what they wanted and secured the 3 points.

Draws held for the new seasons
This week the draws were held for the season 2010/2011.
The Under 15 squad were draw in Section C 2. The group consists of 7 teams playing each other twice. Teams in this group are : Xghajra, Ghaxaq, Luqa, Mgarr, Dingli, Balzan and Zurrieq.
The Under 17 squad were draw in Section C 3. The group consists of 7 teams too but will play each other three times. Teams in the group are: St.Lucia, Siggiewi, Dingli, Sirens, Zurrieq, St.Georges and Gudja.
